Free Immunization Shots at Prince George's Back to School Fair

New school immunizations are required for the 2016-2017 school year for students entering kindergarten, Grades 1-2 and Grade 7-9. These new vaccination requirements are in addition to the current school immunization requirements.

The Maryland Partnership for Prevention(MPP) and PGCPS Office of School Health are partnering to provide free chickenpox (varicella) vaccines to students entering kindergarten and Grades 1-2, and free tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis (Tdap) and meningitis (MCV4) vaccines to Grades 7-9.

With pop icon Janet Jackson becoming pregnant just before her 50th birthday in May, many women are wondering if they too can become pregnant in their 40s. Many doctors will tell you that despite some increased risk, having children later in life is indeed possible. In fact, the number of women giving birth in their 30s and 40s has increased significantly over the last couple of decades, while the number of women having babies in their 20s has dropped.
