Prayers for peace
Today, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s words ring especially true when he said, "Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that."
We're going to be bombarded with news stories throughout the coming days and weeks about what occurred this week--perhaps hearing opinions from every possible angle. What we want to remember, especially as believers, is how precious every human life is, and our responsibility to show the kind of love Christ has shown us. We weep with all the families who have lost loved ones and lift them up in our prayers.
