Thank you for spreading hope. I know you probably hear it a million times, and maybe it starts to sound cliche. But, the WGTS 91.9 listening family is passionate about hope.
I have to admit I was a little apprehensive about leaving the comfort of the our air conditioned studio to host the Middays show remotely for the Ice Cream tour. (The heat and I are not friends - I much prefer sweater and boot weather, and so does my hair). So, vanity aside, it's been more amazing that I ever dreamed! I have to pinch myself to make sure this isn't all a dream - getting to hang out with some of the most passionate people in the nation's capital!
It truly is like going to a neighborhood block party - except it's ALL of DC, and even if we've never met face to face before, it's like we're all old friends. And I realized it's because we all have something in common - HOPE!
As a mom, that's really hit me especially hard within the last few weeks. The headlines grow dimmer, and it seems like everything is on the verge of boiling over more than ever before. But, those who have hope have a boldness that's hard to explain. "You will be secure, because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in safety." (Job 11:18 NIV).
And that's what has been so amazing about bringing the show on the road this week - it's being with others who are passionate about reminding each other that no matter how bleak things seem, there is always hope.
"Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness." - Desmond Tutu
