When you’re sick or hurt, your primary care doctor is often the best place to start because they are familiar with your health history. This allows them to make informed decisions about your treatment and recommend any necessary tests. Some primary care doctors also have evening and weekend hours to make scheduling appointments convenient.Need Help Finding a Doctor?
Adventist HealthCare Adventist Medical Group offers online appointment scheduling and same-day appointments with a trusted network of physicians and healthcare professionals close to home.
If you are sick or injured when your doctor’s office is closed and your condition isn’t life-threatening, but urgent, then urgent care may be the best choice. Urgent care centers are often open beyond normal business hours, including weekends and evenings. Many provide onsite diagnostic tests, and in most cases, they can help save you time and are less costly than going to an emergency room.
