International Christian Concern is partnering with One Body, a Washington DC-based Christian organization that organizes prayer meetings, to hold the 4th Annual Night of Prayer for the Persecuted Church from 7 – 10 pm on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the Chinese Community Church (500 I Street NW, Washington, DC 20001). This year’s event will feature Christians from Cuba, Iran, North Korea, and Pakistan to present their experiences living in countries that lack freedom of thought, conscience, and religion. The event is free and open to the public. Other speakers will include former Congressman Frank Wolf and TV journalist, Mosheh Gains. The day will also feature an afternoon event schedule which will include panel discussions regarding women who face persecution and religious extremism against Christians. ICC’s President, Jeff King, said of the event, “Events such as the Night of Prayer are crucial in raising awareness of the plight of the persecuted while encouraging more participation on their behalf through prayer. Throughout my time at ICC, prayer has always been what persecuted Christians request first and foremost. This event honors them and their struggles while also providing what they want and need most; prayer. I highly encourage anyone who is interested in praying for, or learning more about our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ, to attend this event.” For more information and to register, please visit: www.prayforonebody.org. For interviews, please contact Olivia Miller, Press Manager at press@persecution.org

Inspired by Isaiah 58:10, which challenges us to spend ourselves on behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, Spend Yourself is a long-term, concerted effort to address both spiritual and physical hunger around the world. Starting as a food pantry in Falls Church serving the local community, Spend Yourself® has expanded to fight hunger in Haiti and India. The out-and-back USTAF certified course follows a flat portion of the W&OD Trail through the City of Falls Church. The race is professionally timed. The 3K turnaround point is located at the halfway point on the trail. The entire course is marked, and volunteers will guide you through a few street turns to and from the trail. You will have supporters along the entire route. As a community race focused to feed the hungry, we encourage families, groups and clubs to complete this event together. We are stroller and pet friendly. We are a stroller and pet friendly!
