Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a full week where kids will learn that in most difficult situations, Jesus rescues! Venture onto an uncharted island where kids survive and thrive. Anchor kids in the truth that Jesus carries them through life’s storms. This is a full week starting July 23 thru July 27, 2018 from 8am to 4pm is for children entering kindergarten through 5th grades this September. Kids will visit and enjoy some time at the Petworth Spray Park next to our facility and a field trip to the zoo! Price includes breakfast, lunch, snacks and a tshirt! On our last day, kids will celebrate with piñata and cupcakes! Each child will receive a goody bag.

New Covenant church(NCC) invites you to Shipwrecked Vacation Bible School (VBS): Rescued by Jesus". In Hyattsville, MD, a summer kids’ event called Shipwrecked VBS will be hosted at NCC from July 9 to July 13. At Shipwrecked, kids discover that Jesus rescues them! Kids participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, make and devour yummy treats, experience one-of-a-kind Bible adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them of God’s love, and test out Sciency-Fun Gizmos they’ll take home and play with all summer long. Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings. Each day concludes with the Sail Away Sendoff that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned. Family members and friends are encouraged to join in daily for this special time at 12:15pm for Sail Away Sendoff. Kids at Shipwrecked VBS will join a mission effort to provide seeds for families in need. Shipwrecked VBS is for kids from ages 4 to 12 year-olds and will run from 8:30am to 12:30pm each day. WGTS is excited to announce Sidewalk Prophets will be joining us as part of the WGTS Summer Concert Series in 2018. This is a FREE event open to the public!

We'll be taking over The Plaza at Tyson's Corner Center (located next to Lord & Taylor) for this exciting outdoor event. They'll be singing hits like Come to the Table, You Love Me Anyway, The Words I Would Say, and more!

No tickets. We recommend arriving early as space is limited.

This will also be the last stop on our Ice Cream Tour, so come by and get your free Turkey Hill Ice Cream as we broadcast live from the Plaza from 3-6pm.

FAQs:

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Use METRO stop Tysons Corner on the Silver Line for rail. 

Use Metrobus 31, 32, or 36.

Parking is FREE in all mall lots/garages. The best parking for The Plaza is Parking Garage E. The Plaza is located on the fourth level.

What can I bring into the event?

Feel free to bring a blanket, or camp chair (no feet). Please keep in mind alcohol is prohibited on the premises. Outside food is permitted, but no glass bottles.
