Thanks so much for your help with "Gift Cards for the Homefront" this Christmas. Thanks to you we were able to send over $16,000 worth of gift cards to local military families.
"I want to thank you for the tremendous support through the Gift Cards for the Homefront. We helped 70 service members on and around Christmas, and will be able to send continued support for 4 Service Member families once a month for the next 12 months. All have spouses deployed either to locations here in country - separated by hundreds of miles from their family, or overseas. As been conveyed by those recipients "It is nice to know people care". Thank you so very much for standing in the gap for those who defend freedom.
Sincerely,
David Minyard, Eagles Watch Foundation"
Though the holidays are over, you're still welcome to help out. For our soldiers fighting overseas it can be tough to stay focused when they know their families may be struggling back at home. That’s why WGTS 91.9 and Eagle’s Watch Foundation want to help lighten the load, and you can help by donating a gift card of any amount to the station. Together, we'll make sure they go to military families who are in need.
Gift cards from stores like Target, Safeway, Giant, Home Depot, CVS, Wal-Mart, Costco, Visa, American Express, and the like would be greatly appreciated.
Still not sure what to send? May we suggest a new Healthcare Visa Gift Card, which may be used towards covering health care and medical expenses, doctor''s fees, prescriptions, and much more. With the cost of medical expenses constantly increasing, this gift card is a unique way of showing that you care. For more information about the card, please visit their website at http://www.givewell.com.
