Live Music concert in Fredericksburg, Virginia on Saturday, May 10 from 7:00-9:00 pm at Cornerstone Baptist Church off of Route 17. May 10th, 2008 - Frederick Church of the Brethren Concert Series - Spires Brass Band(Frederick,MD)

The Frederick Church of the Brethren will be hosting "SELAH" on May 10th, 2008 at 8:00PM in their main sanctuary. This is a free concert; however, reservations are required. Please visit www.fcob.net to reserve your tickets starting April 1 (12:01AM). There is a 500 person limit, and reservations will go fast.

Due to fire regulations, only those with tickets will be admitted to the concert.

The first 100 people who attend the 5:38PM worship service on May 10, 2008 (5:38PM) will recieve a reserved seat for the concert.

Two groups will be performing at our Concert/Coffeehouse. At 7pm is the gospel singing group Joyful Noise. They have performed at Colleges and churches in Southern Md. At 8:10pm will be John Fiedler doing Christian Country. John has his 1st CD out, which includes songs that testify to what God has done in his life. At 7:50pm, there will be Open Mic for anyone who wants to 1) make prayer requests, 2) give a testimony, or 3) share their singing talents with Christian Karaoke or their own instruments.

We are all One Body IN Christ, and it is our prayer that these concerts strengthen our community. There will be light refreshments and no cover charge.

For over 25 years the Family Crisis Center of Prince Georges County has provided the only safe house for women fleeing violence in the home as well as providing primary services for families experiencing domestic violence in the county. The mission of the Family Crisis Center is to promote and facilitate the elimination of violence in intimate relationships by providing counseling, education and support services for women, children, and men.

This year on Mother’s Day please join The Washington Times in a special public service announcement on behalf of the Family Crisis Center during this prevention effort.
